Gordon Tafe Design Hub
Join a walking tour in our Design Hub showcasing creations from the following areas:
Get a glimpse into the world of fashion design and patternmaking via work from The Gordon’s 3rd year fashion students.
Using mannequins and design boards, they have mapped out their design vision and the patterns that will be required to bring it to life.
Contemplate cultural, social and ecological issues while viewing poster art from The Gordon’s 2nd year graphic design students.
Inspired by Mexico’s International Poster Biennial and Russia’s Global Biennale of Graphic Design, 18 posters have been created to materialise ideas and develop visual culture.
Walk and view an exhibition in The Gordon’s Pink Pole gallery. Created by 1st year visual arts and graphic design students, the exhibition is titled Pre History and showcases work created during design and art history classes.
Create your own On Trend mood board, using textures and colours that influence your everyday life. Assemble images and colour using Ultra Violet – the Pantone Colour of the Year, while learning about forecasting, the trends of 2019, and how they will impact our interiors.
Make-up & Floristry
View the work that goes into taking a design concept through to realisation via a live model make-over demonstration. This collaboration
between our make-up and fashion departments is titled Botanical High Fashion and was originally created for a photoshoot.
