Knowledge exchange - Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation
The liquor and gambling industry in Geelong are encouraged to attend the Knowledge Exchange being hosted by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) on Wednesday 25 March.
Knowledge Exchange events build on last year’s information sessions and are an opportunity for industry, local government and the community to share expertise with the VCGLR, and each other, about current gambling and liquor regulation issues.
Using a combination of presentations and ‘expo’ set-up, participants are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback to VCGLR staff about the trends they have experienced, and the challenges they face.
VCGLR Knowledge Exchange events focus on regulation issues-of-the-moment and the free program covers information on a range of liquor, gambling regulation topics. Guest speakers will include the VCGLR Chairman, senior VCGLR staff, representatives from GoodSports, Victoria Police and the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing from the Department of Justice and Regulation.
As well as valuable information for licensees throughout the event, local council representatives are invited to participate in a workshop to discuss the role of councils and the best ways to work together with the VCGLR.
How to register
VCGLR Knowledge Exchange events are open to all licensees, but places are limited. Bookings for the first event in Geelong can be made online at www.trybooking.com/GRPS, and by no later than Friday 20 March.
