Opportunity - Doing Business in Defence Workshop, Geelong
The Victorian Defence Procurement Office (VDPO) will be conducting a number of regional half-day workshops which will be highly focused and designed to assist those looking to enter or grow their presence in the Defence sector.
It will provide participants with the essential insights they need to be more successful business winners in this very unique and challenging industry.
Location, date and time:
Geelong - Wednesday 22 June, 9.00am – 2.30pm (Deakin Waterfront Campus, Western Beach room )
The workshop will focus on:
1. Providing an overview of the defence industry landscape and how it operates
2. Identifying the avenues available for securing business in the Australian defence supply-chain
3. Outlining how to engage defence customers with a relevant customer value-proposition
4. Highlighting the various banners and expectations for doing business in the defence sector
The workshop will be delivered by Nick Mondou, Principal, Du Monde Consulting. Nick has extensive experience in strategy and business development with defence prime contractors including BAE and Raytheon. In 2010 he established Du Monde Consulting to assist SMEs develop their full potential in domestic and global defence environments
At the end of the workshop there will be an hour long networking session with representative from four of the industry’s key partner organisations – Defence Industry Innovation Centre, the Defence Science Institute and the Australian Industry Defence Network.
