Working with Other Community Organisations: MOUs, Mergers and Amalgamations

Is your community group looking to work with another group? Are you confused about the various formal and informal arrangements and which is right for you?

There are many benefits to working together, from sharing funding and resources to increasing reach in the community. This seminar will help you make the right decision for your group and will cover:

  • the options available from collaborations and MOU's to mergers and amalgamations
  • the top ten key legal issues your organisation should consider (e.g. client files and privacy)
  • the pitfalls that can arise from poorly-planned collaborations

This session is suitable for not-for-profit community organisations of all sizes and legal structures, including unincorporated groups.

The session will run from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 30 November and will include morning tea.
