Jobs4Geelong Jobs Fair
19-20 June 2015
Enterprise Geelong delivered a second successful Jobs4Geelong Jobs Fair in 2015. The two day Jobs Fair attracted approximately 2,400 attendees. The Fair targeted job seeksers, people looking to start their career, people returning to work, those changing careers and workers affected by retrenchment. Features of the event included a keynote presentation by demographer Bernard Salt on The Great Skills Shift, a presentation by Ivan Neville Department of Employment on the current jobs market, as well as 20 other daily seminars delivered by various employers and support services. Visitors to the Jobs Fair had access to the services of the Workforce Development Centre, could secure an appointment with a careers counselor from the Career Development Association of Australia or visit one of the 55 exhibitor sites and speak directly to employers, training organisations and support services. Jobs on offer in the local market were promoted via the Jobs Board, the Geelong Region LLEN Careers App or the Geelong Advertiser (Career One).
